All you really need in one measurement.. the outer seam. Booty pants have no 'real' inseam.. as the crotch are is rounded making it next to imposable to get an inseam. So these are measured by the outer seam. To get this measurement take a pair of your little one pants that fit nicely, lay them flat on a table or floor. Now measure from the waist straight down the outside of the leg to the ankle/hem like shown in my picture below.

Now compare the measurement from your little ones pants.. matching with below. Example: If your little ones pants (outer seam) measure 17 inches.. then you would want to go with a size Large 18/24 months Minky Booty Pants (17 1/2 inch outer seam)

Because I measure the baby booty pants with the out seam instead of inner seam. It was just natural (or habit?) to do the same with other pants i make. Like it says above,  To get this measurement take a pair of your little one pants that fit nicely, lay them flat on a table or floor. Now measure from the waist straight down the outside of the leg to the ankle/hem like shown in my picture above.

Now compare the measurement from your little ones pants with the measurements for minky pants below.

size 18/24 months outer seam of approx 19 inches
size 2T outer seam of approx 20.5 inches
size 3T outer seam of approx 22 inches
size 4 outer seam of approx 23 inches
size 5 outer seam of approx 24 1/2 inches
size 6 outer seam of approx 26 1/4 inches
Size 7 outer seam of approx 28 inches

garment is sized to  be semi-fitted around the chest and arms. This will
allow for comfortable wearing with or without a fitted top underneath. If you are planning to pair the a-line with a bulkier top (like a warm turtleneck), go with the next size up.

6/12 months: from under the arm to hem of dress 10.5 inches
Chest:  all the way around chest/back 19 inches

12/18 months: from under the arm to hem of dress 11.5 inches
Chest: all the way around chest/back 20 inches

24 months / 2T: from under the arm to hem of dress 12.5 inches
Chest: all the way around chest/back 21 inches

3T: from under the arm to hem of dress  14 inches
Chest: all the way around chest/back 22 inches

4T: from under the arm to hem of dress 15 inches
Chest: all the way around chest/back 23 inches

5: from under the arm to hem of dress 16 inches
Chest: all the way around chest/back 24 inches

Always order atleast one FULL size bigger then  your childs current size. The brand shirts & onesies I use tend to shirnk up a full size after washing. Some mommas order shirts (not onesies) 2 full sizes up (me included).
